Thursday's SCS Ways to Use It Challenge - Celebrate Earth Day.  This challenge gave me the opportunity to create a masculine Thank You card for a friend.  Hope he enjoys it.

Thinking of You

This is for SC529 (Sketch Challenge) and F4A262 Free for All).

For the F4A262 challenge, we were to use Kraft  or brown cardstock.  Since I didn't have any Kraft cardstock, I decided to make a masculne card using Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.

For You

Today is my husband's birthday and this card/money holder is for him.  My plans are to prepare a nice breakfast for him, then treat him to lunch/dinner at a really nice restaurant later today.  Our daughters are banding together to treat him to some type of  'Biggie Surprise' tomorrow.  They won't give me a clue as to what they have up their sleeves.  I can't wait to see what they have planned for him.

This project is also for the SCS WT460 Challenge... Crafty Goals 2014.  One of  my goals  is to make at least one project per week and my husband's birthday gave me the incentive for week one... one down, 53 to go.

Chocolates For You

Holiday Focus:  Since December 24th is National Chocolate Day, we were challenged to make a card using chocolate chip on it.  I CASED this card from Grannytranny's gallery.

Since my card has 'pretend' chocolate on it, I decided to make a mug and fill it with real chocolate (DH's fav).

This is for the SCS TLC363, Make Your Own Stripes. I am always at a loss when it comes to making birthday cards and I think this one will fit the bill... I cased this from Alberta's Gallery on SCS. She states she was inspired by a card on Pinterest.

Final card in this group and a picture of the three cards together. If I have enough DSP left, I will probably use it to make one last card tomorrow. Again, I used "For Father" stampset; Mocha Morning DSP; Very Vanilla & Soft Suede Card Stock; Soft Suede & Crumb Cake Inks.

Here is my second card using Stampin' Up!'s "For Father" stamp set and more of the Mocha Morning DSP. I will probably keep making masculine cards with the scraps until the scraps are all used up...

Another card tomorrow.

Birthday Wishes

DH's brother's birthday is next week and he asked me if I would make him a card. Thing is, he has three brothers and I did not want to make one without making a card for the other two. Masculine cards are hard to design so I visited Mary Fish's gallery and got inspired by her 'Thrilla in Vanilla' card and decided to case it. I changed the sentiment, the stamp, added DSP and matted my image panel.

After making this card, I used the same image stamp, card stock, ink and DSP for the other two cards and changed the card sketch for both. Here is the first card. I will post cards two and three within the next few days.

A retirement card for our daughter's FIL based on SCS Sketch Challenge SC364.

Here is a similar card using basically the same sketch with a few adjustments and embossing folders.

Box Card

These are great for gift cards. I will use this to place a Home Depot card in for DH. Directions can be found in the Resources section on the SCS website. I used 'Sweet Pea' DSP (Stampin' Up... Retired), Early Espresso Card Stock, and Spellbinder dies for the tools. I could not find my twine so I used Ecru DMC Floss.
