Courage

Our daughter is currently in Afghanistan and we miss her dearly. She had just returned from a tour of duty in Saudi Arabia this past November; we were really surprised (and disappointed) when she was given notice in January that she was slated for training in February for the Afghanistan deployment.  She had barely returned home. We are in the midst of getting together another CARE package for her and SUO Challenge #73 - Patriotic Projects was right on time.

Here is the card I made for this challenge.  I stamped the card with Midnight Muse dye ink and I wanted to add a bit of color to the image. Since water coloring was not an option, I pulled out my retired SU Stampin' Pastels to add a bit of color. Stamp sets: Courage; Service & Sacrifice.

Love your patriotic challenge card!! This is one of my favorite retired sets that showcases our military and the fact that your daughter is serving our country in Afghanistan makes this card all the more special. I am sure that she will love your creation and I am so thankful that she is willing to serve and protect our freedom! Thank you for sharing this card and part of your life with us at SUO Challenges- may God Bless America and your family.

I love your card! God Bless your daughter & please thank her for her service. I have a group called Cards 4 Our Troops & we send cards every month in care packages to troops serving around the world thru Operation Care and Comfort. There are a few organizations you can sign your daughter up to get packages...this way she can share with her battles. Contact me if you want that information. Take care.
